Responsibilities
Conduct chemical experiments and analyze data to identify and characterize compounds
Design and execute synthetic routes to produce new drug molecules
Develop analytical methods and perform quality control tests on drug substances and products
Conduct stability studies to ensure the shelf-life of pharmaceutical products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support formulation development and process optimization
Stay updated with industry regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in all research activities
Maintain accurate records of experiments and results in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred
Proven experience in pharmaceutical research, preferably in a manufacturing or analytical laboratory
Proficiency in using analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, and spectrophotometers
Strong knowledge of organic chemistry principles and synthetic organic techniques
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and guidelines, such as FDA and ICH
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
