We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Public Relations Specialist to join our marketing and advertising team. As a Public Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and enhancing our brand reputation through effective communication strategies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, creating compelling content, and executing strategic PR campaigns that promote our company and its products or services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to enhance brand visibility and reputation
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers
• Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other materials to targeted media outlets
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends, and provide reports on PR effectiveness
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and sales, to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity
• Plan and coordinate media events, including press conferences, product launches, and trade shows
• Proactively identify and capitalize on media opportunities to generate positive coverage
• Manage crisis communications, including drafting statements and coordinating media responses

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or a related field
• Proven work experience as a Public Relations Specialist or similar role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
• Proficient in using PR software and tools, such as Cision and Meltwater
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their role in PR
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
