Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain database systems and data pipelines to ensure efficient data flow and storage
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data processing workflows
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data solutions
Build and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
Implement and maintain data governance policies and best practices
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts
Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks
Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS or Azure
