Responsibilities
Collaborate with the design team to create innovative and commercially viable product collections
Conduct market research and analysis to identify current and emerging fashion trends
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of products
Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements
Manage the product development process from concept to production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective product promotion and branding strategies
Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategies to stay ahead in the market
Conduct regular store visits to assess product performance and make recommendations for assortment adjustments
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and attend trade shows and fashion events
Train and mentor junior merchandisers, providing guidance and support in their professional development
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, or a related field
Proven experience as a Fashion Merchandiser in the textiles industry
Strong knowledge of fashion trends and an eye for aesthetics
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry software such as Adobe Creative Suite
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to travel for trade shows and store visits as required
Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards
